Pune City Announces Parking Plan for Ganesh Visarjan on September 17, 2024
In anticipation of the grand Ganesh Visarjan procession on September 17, 2024, the Pune city administration has implemented an extensive parking plan to facilitate smooth traffic flow and ensure public safety. The procession, set to begin at 9:00 am, is expected to attract a large number of devotees. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Transport Branch Pune City, Amol Zende, has released details of designated parking zones to accommodate the influx of vehicles during the festivities.
The parking plan, authorized by the Maharashtra Home Department, includes multiple locations across Pune, spanning municipal, private, school, and college premises, as well as public spaces. Special provisions have been made for essential service vehicles, such as fire brigades, ambulances, police, and those involved in the Ganesh Visarjan procession.

- Shivaji Akhada Station: Parking for two-wheelers and four-wheelers
- AISSPMS Ground: Parking for two-wheelers and four-wheelers
- SP College: Parking for two-wheelers and four-wheelers
- Peshwa Park Sarasbagh: Bike parking
- Patil Plaza Parking: Bike parking
- Dandekar Bridge to Ganeshmala: Bike parking
- Ganeshmala to Rajaram Bridge: Bike parking
- Nilayam Talkies: Bike parking
- Sanjeevani Medical College Grounds: Parking for two-wheelers and four-wheelers
- Ferguson College: Parking for two-wheelers and four-wheelers
- Jain Hostel, BMCC Road Maidan: Parking for two-wheelers and four-wheelers

- River Bed – Bhidepul to Gadgil Bridge: Parking for two-wheelers and four-wheelers
